Reading Logs/Reading Responses

Students are required to read a certain amount of minutes each week. Students will need to read either 15-20 minutes a day or a total of 75-100 minutes weekly. This  reading is meant to get students to interact with books outside of the classroom and to further develop their reading analysis skills. As well as logging what they have read, student are required to complete weekly write-ups to their skills with analyzing texts.

All students are required to work on vocabulary for 45 minutes each week as well. We use Membean, an online program that provides guided, engaging, multimodal vocabulary instruction that helps students retain what they learn.
